2016/2017 school years Visiting Artists

Shawn Fitzgerald Ahern of Pilobolus visits the GSAA Dance Department and holds a mini workshop with our students!

Pilobolus
is an American modern dance company that began performing in October 1971. Pilobolus has performed over 100 choreographic works in more than 64 countries around the world, and has been featured on the 79th Annual Academy Awards, The Oprah Winfrey Show and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Pilobolus Dance Theatre has three main branches: a touring company, Pilobolus, that creates new works through the International Collaborators Project; an educational programming arm that teaches the company's group-based creative process; and Pilobolus Creative Services, which offers movement services for film, advertising, publishing, commercial clients and corporate events.
DOUBLE VISION comes to visit the GSAA Music Department

Granite State Arts Academy would like to give a great big Thank You to Rick, Kyle and Scott of DOUBLE VISION - the premiere Foreigner Tribute Band from Los Angeles for spending a few hours with our Music Department. Our students loved the Q&A and the music you played. GSAA loves being able to connect with successful artist like you, your insight and expertise aligns with the mission of our school.

Thank you to Catherine Fraser-Dery for connecting us with Double Vision and thank you for the great photo's.
DOUBLE VISION - the premiere Foreigner Tribute Band from Los Angeles is taking the city by storm. With a powerhouse package fronted by Boston native, KYLE FROST, the band is humming on all cylinders, with a recently souped-up lineup consisting of Tribute veteran RICK HUNTER (Lead Guitars, vocals), ANDY GUSTAFSON (Bass, Vocals), SCOTT CONNOR (Drums, Vocals), and Andy Qunta (Keyboards and Vocals). With this stellar lineup they capture all of the excitement and top-notch musicianship that the original Foreigner band possessed. So much, in fact, that if you close your eyes, you'll think you're listening to the real thing. The attention to every detail, no matter how minute, is faithfully represented here - all LIVE, with absolutely NO samples or pre-recorded tracks - what you hear is what you get! DOUBLE VISION plays ALL the hits - from Foreigner's late-70's FM Radio-hits - all the way up to their MTV Top 10's of the 80's. They even throw in some "deep-cuts", for the die-hard fans.
